BARI ALBERTO

Alberto was born in Como in 1950 and he has been living in Turin since 1960. Professional photographer, he teaches High Photography according to Visual Semiotics principles in Turin. His aim is to explain to his pupils how to construct their photographs by using also elements of cognitive psychology and relying on the knowledge of the brain mechanisms of vision. He published many photo-books and two text-books, “Temporary truths. The construction of an artistic photography – Theoretical and practical reflections aimed at correctly writing and reading a photograph using the semiotics of the image teaching” and “The relationship between the instrument and the image in artistic photography”. He has lastly exposed his photos at the “Paola Meliga Art Gallery” in Turin, as a part of “Hidden Geometries” project. Alberto is also a member of Società Fotografica Subalpina, the oldest photographic society in Italy (founded in 1899).
